“I grew up watching mountains being reduced, trees uprooted, ponds drying up, and fields being dug up, all to fulfil the insatiable desire of industrialism.”

I was born surrounded by nature in the distant village of Bihar, and I think that from the very beginning of my life, I developed a special relationship with Mother Nature. We were fortunate enough, and our forefathers toiled hard to ensure that there is fertile land available for the generations to come. When I look back now, I can say that Bihar has been instrumental in earning livelihoods for people. My beloved father succeeded in managing a business in the transportation and hotel sectors inspiring me with the values of hard work and responsibility.
However, fate had different plans. My birth was followed by a gradual decline in both our family businesses and the natural environment that had sustained our way of life. I grew up witnessing mountains disappear, forests being cleared, ponds drying up, and fertile fields being exhausted in the relentless pursuit of industrialization. Alongside this environmental decline, the economic well-being of my people also began to fade. I spent the better part of my working life with the Food Corporation of India, and my experience had little to do with the dreams of my visionary forefathers for future generations.
Throughout that period, I was constantly haunted by the realities of poverty, illiteracy, and the decline of rural society. I say “my people” not out of ownership but out of a deep sense of responsibility inherited from my ancestors. This responsibility motivated me to support the education of dozens of boys and girls and start several community welfare programs.
As my journey continued, my vision expanded beyond the borders of my village. I recognise that my responsibilities also extend to humanity as a whole and the environment on which we depend. The silent thought that had been in me for years finally found its purpose through Ye Prayas, a Waste Management Company dedicated to creating a cleaner, safer and more long-lasting future.
Ye Prayas was founded with a simple yet meaningful purpose—to correct the mistakes of the past and contribute towards a healthier planet through responsible Waste Management Services. We believe that environmental protection requires collective action, innovation and long-term commitment. By promoting long-lasting Waste Management, responsible resource use, and environmentally friendly practices, we hope to create a positive impact on businesses, communities and future generations.
